QUALIFICATIONS

Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency)

Leadership and supervisory experience

Minimum of five years of directly related experience in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems and/or Energy Management Systems/Controls, Thermostats and HVAC computerized related equipment or systems

Completed two years from an accredited HVAC trade or vocational school

CFC Universal Refrigerant License required

Technical knowledge of various HVAC systems, equipment and repairs

Familiarity with state codes and required inspections

Ability to compile and maintain accurate records

Must maintain a valid Texas driver license and record that meets Dallas ISD driving standards

Maintain department work order logs and communicate back to the front office

Experience with School Dude Systems preferred

Must pass Dallas ISD Random Drug Test

Ability to communicate in English by speaking, reading and writing

Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Supervise and coordinate overall operations and daily activities of HVAC craftsperson and other employees within the HVAC System Department, including personnel evaluations

Establish, assign and adjust work methods and procedures to meet schedules

Inspect work in progress to assure its completion within agreed time limit and for acceptable quality standards

Initiate measures to improve methods, equipment performance and quality of work

Coordinate preventative maintenance, emergency repairs and routine work order maintenance on air-cooled and water-cooled chillers and related equipment

Coordinate with various maintenance employees in responding to emergency situations at campus sites and resolve routine work related problems

Maintain accurate records and files including preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, purchase orders, inventory, approval of time cards, absences and submit reports as required

Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

Minimum Maximum

$20.89/Hr $37.37/Hr
