Our Mobile Welding crews travel the continent, performing flash-butt welding for major railroads in state-of-the-art “road-to-rail” vehicles. This job is not for everyone, crews often spend 3-4 weeks at a time on the road and work in all types of conditions. If you’ve got a desire to see the world and a desire to be your own boss, this job is for you!

To qualify, you’ll need have strong mechanical skills, like working outdoors in all weather conditions and be comfortable traveling. We also ask that you can obtain a CDL within the first year of employment. You will only be driving 20% of the time. Candidates will start off as "welder helpers" to learn the process, with top candidates able to move into Supervisor roles in as little as 6 months!

Prior welding experience not required. This is not a driving position. You will only be required to drive 5% of the time. CDLs are needed to move the truck between the job site and hotel. This position will not require you to relocate. You’ll need to have easy access to a major airport.

Please note that this position requires extensive travel. You may be on the road up to 4 weeks at a time before returning home. Please consider this carefully before applying.

To qualify, you'll need:
  • CDL Class A or B or the ability to get one within the first year of employment
  • 1-2 yrs of driving experience preferred but not required
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Ability to travel extensively and work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to interact directly with the customer in a professional manner
  • Proven ability to make sound independent judgments and decisions
  • Proven leadership ability
  • HS diploma
