Supervisor Maintenance –
  • Facilities and Engineering (Sisters of Charity Hospital): Develops and administers programs to maintain buildings, grounds and equipment in accordance with regulations and administrative guidelines; maintains the buildings in livable and workable condition relative to heat, light, power, air conditioning and other broad environmental factors. Directs the repair, reconstruction and construction of the hospital’s physical plant and its contents. Administers a preventative maintenance program to facilitate uninterrupted service to patients and to assure safe conditions of employment for staff members. Reports to the Facility & Engineering Site Manager to ensure that all of the above is carried out for all of the Sisters Hospital MSC/SJC and off-site locations.

    REPORTS TO: · Site Manager Facilities & Engineering

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Provides direct supervision of Maintenance Tradesman

    SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):

    EDUCATION: · High School diploma or GED

    · Two years of college (A.A.S. Degree) Associates degree in Facilities Management preferred

    · Some college with practical experience in such fields as stationary engineering, building maintenance, plumbing and electrical wiring

    · Strong management, leadership, and personal organization skills

    · Stationary Engineer Class 1 license required. Chief Stationary Engineers license is preferred

    EXPERIENCE: · Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive Engineering-Maintenance management experience

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY:

    · Computer literate, knowledge & experience with Microsoft Office Suite

    · Strong interpersonal skills

    · Excellent oral and written communication
