Supervise Blood Collection Technicians and Driver/Technicians in the overall screening, processing and collection of volunteer, autologous, directed, therapeutic, apheresis and Bone Marrow donors on a mobile blood drive or at a collection site.
Maintains, motivates, encourages and develops staff to attain their full potential through positive reinforcement and corrective action as necessary. Ensures that all Blood Collection functions are performed according to prescribed procedures of state and federal regulatory agencies. Serves as an IBC representative demonstrating proficiency, professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills with the public.
Starting pay range of $16.50 to $17.00/hour.
Associates Degree with two years of supervisory experience required with a focus on customer service and leadership skills. Valid Indiana Driver License is required. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
Ability to express oneself clearly/effectively in written and oral form. Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information discreetly.
Ability to successfully interact with the public and other departments as necessary.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and to prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
Well-groomed, professional appearance.
Must be available to staff and management by pager, phone or other method as necessary. Able to be on-call as required by the position. Ability to work in a positive manner under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well with others as a team member required.
