Position Summary: Performs scheduled and unscheduled organizational level maintenance on Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and Support Equipment (SE). Inspects tests and operates AGE to determine serviceability and proper operation. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid and air. Operates, cleans, inspects and services AGE towing vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Complies with TO''s, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications.
Complies with methods and procedures to improve productivity of AGE work processes
Interprets and implements directives and publications pertaining to maintenance including environmentally safe maintenance practices.
Determines resource requirements including facilities, equipment and supplies.
Services, repairs and overhauls AGE and support equipment to ensure safety and proper operation.
Performs complex maintenance, replaces and rebuilds AGE components using hand tools, power tools, machines and other approved equipment.
Submits material, product and software deficiency reports.
Performs organizational level maintenance on powered AGE equipment engines.
Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components using hand tools, gauges and test equipment.
Adheres to published safety guidelines.
Reviews maintenance forms and equipment records.
Records data on equipment forms and IMDS and ensures it is complete and accurate.
Performs all other duties as assigned or directed.
Excellent attention to detail. Very good communication skills both written and verbal. Team player.
Six (6) years of ground support equipment maintenance experience. Equivalent experience to USAF 7-Skill Level. Two (2) years of leadership and management experience.
May be required to meet all typical Cross Utilization Training (CUT) qualifications to include Aircraft Movement/Towing and Tool Control and Accountability.
Current Secret Security Clearance. US Citizen or proper immigration status.
Must be willing to travel overseas for extended periods of time as required by the company. Must meet all company fitness for duty requirements.
