Under direct supervision, performs routine housekeeping required to maintain cleanliness and a sanitary environment of all assigned building areas. Cleans areas outside of confines of building including areas such as walks, ramps, docks, porches, furniture and ash receptacles. Operates a variety of cleaning machines and equipment. Responsibilities include collecting soiled laundry and linens and transporting to the laundry area; checks clothes for foreign objects and other personal items; operates laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and other associated equipment; sorts and fold clean laundry. Reports building equipment shortages and necessary repairs to supervisor. Maintains adequate cleaning supplies for assigned area.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school supplemented by six (6) months experience in the housekeeping field. Requires working knowledge of routine housekeeping tasks. Requires skill in the basic operation of machinery and equipment found in the assigned area. Requires ability to instruct others in simple methods and procedures common to the area.

Work Hours & Location/Agency Contact:

Rotating schedule with every other weekend off
1/2 hour paid meal break
