DESCRIPTION

Works under the supervision of the Direct Care Supervisor, is responsible for providing services as determined by Independent Case Manager, which may be provided in the home or community setting.

Looking for a male Supportive Living Companion that will be dedicated and patient with a very bright developmental delayed client with physical limitations. Willing to work over night in clients home.

1 Part-time position

Hours are: FILL IN AS NEEDED
Weekend staff to fill in as needed and over nights will be expected.

Location: Little Rock, AR

DUTIES

Trains individual in independent living skills, home management skills, cooking, cleaning and
socialization skills, utilizing behavioral management techniques.

Provides services which have been developed in an individual program plan.

Assists in the formulation and revision of the training programs.

Follows prescribed activities to meet individual objectives.

Records progress.

Supervises/reminds residents when it is necessary to take and refill medication.

Communicates to incoming staff any problems which might cause a continuation of behavior.

This communication will be verbal and written in to allow for program continuity.

Initiates learning skills programs, i.e., reading, money management, cooking, grooming, dress,
hygiene.

Assists in the development and management of Pathfinder supported employment program as
assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Have a high school diploma, OR GED and have a minimum of one year of relevant, supervised work experience with a public health, human services or other community service agency, OR Have a minimum of two years verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities may be used in lieu of the aforementioned qualifications.

Must possess current Arkansas driver's license, have current auto liability insurance coverage, and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.

Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
