DESCRIPTION

Completes duties by performing the following in compliance with the Department of Labor rule 552.6 "Companionship Services for aged or infirm." As used in section 13(a)(15)of the Acts, the term "companionship services" shall mean those services which provide fellowship, care and protection for a person who, because of advanced age or physical or mental infirmity, cannot care for his/her own needs.

Looking for a supportive living companion to work with a intellectually disabled young male with mood disorder in Cabot, AR.

2 Part-time position available.

1 Full-time position available

Hours:
Shift A: 7pm - 7am, Saturday and Sunday
Shift B: 7am - 7pm, Saturday and Sunday
Shift C: 3pm -11pm, Mon - Fri

Location: Cabot, AR

DUTIES

1. Trains individual in independent living skills, home management skills, cooking, cleaning & socialization skills.

2. Provides services which have been developed in an individual program plan. Follows prescribed activities to meet individual objectives.

3. Records progress.

4. Supervises/Reminds residents when it is necessary to take and refill medication.

5. Communicate to incoming staff any problems which might cause a continuation of behavior. This communication will be verbal & written in to allow for program continuity.

6. Initiates learning skills programs, i.e., reading, money management, cooking, grooming, dress, hygiene, community survival skills.

7. Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma OR GED plus 1 year relevant experience (public health, human services or other community service agency) OR 2 years verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities OR 2 years verifiable successful history with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Must possess current Arkansas driver's license, have current auto liability insurance coverage and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.

Basic: Payroll Systems
