DESCRIPTION

Looking for two supportive living companion to work with a developmentally disabled female in Jacksonville, AR.

1 Full-time position is available.

1 Part-time position is available

Hours: Monday - Friday 11am to 7pm (40 hours a week) for the full-time positoin and Monday - Friday 3:00pm to 7:00pm for the part-time position.

This position is in Jacksonville with the some time in Vilonia, AR

Location: Jacksonville, AR

DUTIES

Trains individual in independent living skills, home management skills, cooking, cleaning & socialization skills. Provides services which have been developed in an individual program plan. Follows prescribed activities to meet individual objectives. Records progress. Supervises/Reminds residents when it is necessary to take and refill medication. Communicate to incoming staff any problems which might cause a continuation of behavior. This communication will be verbal & written in to allow for program continuity. Initiates learning skills programs, i.e., reading, money management, cooking, grooming, dress, hygiene, community survival skills. Perform other duties as deemed necessary. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a high school diploma; OR have successfully completed a GED and have a minimum of one years of relevant experience, supervised work experience with the public health, human services or community service agency; or have a minimum of two years verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities that may be used in lieu of the aforementioned qualification; or have two years of verifiable successful and unpaid caregiver to a person with developmental disability in their own home.

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out simple multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with limited variables.

Must possess current Arkansas driver's license, have current auto liability insurance coverage and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.
