DESCRIPTION

  • THIS POSITION IS IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS*
Works under the supervision of the Direct Care Supervisor, is responsible for providing services as determined by Independent Case Manager, which may be provided in the home or community setting.

Looking for a female Supportive Living Companion to work with developmentally disabled adults in our Cave Springs Waiver House.

1 Full-time position is available.

Hours: Mon.-Fri., 12midnight - 8:00am

Location: Cave Springs, AR.

FEMALES ONLY.

DUTIES

Trains individual in independent living skills, home management skills, cooking, cleaning and
socialization skills, utilizing behavioral management techniques.

Provides services which have been developed in an individual program plan.

Assists in the formulation and revision of the training programs.

Follows prescribed activities to meet individual objectives.

Records progress.

Supervises/reminds residents when it is necessary to take and refill medication.

Communicates to incoming staff any problems which might cause a continuation of behavior.

This communication will be verbal and written in to allow for program continuity.

Initiates learning skills programs, i.e., reading, money management, cooking, grooming, dress,
hygiene.

Assists in the development and management of Pathfinder supported employment program as
assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

GED or High School Diploma; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have a comprehensive knowledge of behavior modification methods, the ability to analyze resident problems and behaviors, and an understanding of operational procedures and the ability to help residents work through problem solving.

Must possess current Arkansas drivers license, have current auto liability insurance coverage, and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.
