Position Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the linen services department, and for training, quality control and development and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures. The major emphasis is on managing all given resources to provide an adequate supply of high quality, safe linen to the MHS staff for patient care. A variety of techniques, equipment and supplies are required to achieve this purpose efficiently and effectively. This is a first line supervisor position, which directly manages the laundry operation and a staff of approximately 35 employees. This position works and interacts with all levels of staff and management thought the organization.

Minimum Requirements
Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role.
Experience in Supervising in a commercial linen facility preferred
ALM membership preferred.

Education/Licenses/Certifications
Bachelor’s degree required
A combination of the following may be considered in lieu of the bachelor’s degree upon HR Compensation approval:
post high-school education
6 years of recent relevant experience
5 years prior formal supervisory experience
Commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree within an agreed-upon time-frame
Commitment to pursue and complete CCLM within 18 months of employment
CLLM or RLLD certification desirable
