This position will be responsible for supervising maintenance crews in Columbia, Jenkinsville, and Charleston to include commercial building HVAC, electrical, roofing, and similar building utility system maintenance as well as for small renovation projects. The selected candidate must be able to travel throughout the service area. Position will also be responsible for developing preventive and predictive maintenance checklists for facilities and ensuring service contracts are kept current related to water treatment, generator, and other facility utility system equipment. Position will ensure maintenance tasks are scheduled and completed in a timely manner and ensuring necessary inventory is available for scheduled tasks and inventory levels are maintained. Position will also be responsible for developing and implementing best maintenance practices for new facilities and monitor ongoing tasks for existing facilities. Position will be responsible for auditing maintenance tasks and ensuring all tasks are being performed in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. Assist with the development of equipment standards to be incorporated into construction standards and ensure repairs are schedule and performed in accordance with this standards.
Educational requirements include a Bachelors Degree in a related field or relevant work experience. Candidates must have at least five years of related work experience in such areas as plant or building maintenance to include administration of preventive/predictive maintenance programs, mechanic safety programs, and overall maintenance scheduling. Excellent customer service skills, strong organizational and technical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks are a must. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and strong written and oral communications skills are also required for this position. Experience with generator, HVAC, chiller, UPS, and other building utility system maintenance, vibration analysis, and other preventive/predictive maintenance techniques preferred.
