The Surveillance Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Surveillance Department, under the direction of the Surveillance Director. They detect and prevent persons from engaging in cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall supervision of the Surveillance department, including the camera and visual surveillance of table games and slot activities, as well as the Casino, Count Room, and other areas of the property.
Endeavors to protect and/or prevent persons from engaging in cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activities on the property.
Knows casino control laws and attendant regulations, as well as the property's internal controls, policies and procedures.
Maintains a rapport with outside law enforcement agencies.
Works with Security team to resolve problems and disturbances.
Keeps informed of changes in technology related to surveillance equipment.
Requisitions all needed supplies and equipment.
Decides placement of new cameras or relocation of cameras to obtain optimum vantage point(s).
Responsible for the Surveillance department. Responsibilities including hiring and training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining staff, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
