Job Description

Job Title: Sushi Cook
Department: Food and Beverage
Reports to: Sous Chef
Location: USA - Mammoth Lakes, CA

Summary: The Sushi Cook coordinates activities of the sushi bar and other
workers engaged in preparing and cooking foods by performing the
duties required by the position.

Responsibilities:

The purpose of the sushi cook is to provide a speedy and precise service while taking orders from the foodline server or directly from guests at the sushi bar.

• Use of all equipment
• Preparation of fish, accompaniments, & sauces
• Preparation of all garnish trays for menu items
• General cleaning and sanitization of work stations and equipment

Position Requirements:

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and
the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability
to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Food Handlers Certification--will train.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to understand and speak fluent English. Must be
extremely guest service oriented in hospitality. Must be able to keep
emotions under control in emotional situations.

Other Qualifications:

Must be able to work weekend, nights, and holidays as needed. Must
be able to travel as requested. Must be flexible with time.
