Performs routine work operating a telephone switchboard, performing receptionist and clerical duties. Work involves, placing, answering and transferring calls; receiving visitors; and providing general information, sorting mail and routine clerical duties. May train others. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Places, answers and transfers calls. Greets callers, answers general questions and directs callers to proper staff (may involve notification to staff that the visitor has arrived). Provides forms and general information to visitors and forwards completed forms to proper staff. Refers callers or visitors to services or resources at other agencies or organizations. Sorts incoming mail for Regional Headquartes office and prepares outgoing mail. May perform clerical duties and other related work as assigned.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:
Valid Class C Drivers License

Initial Selection Criteria:
Experience performing clerical related work as a receptionist and telephone switchboard operator. Experience working in a generic administrative or clerical job. Experience using Microsoft Office software.
