CollabNet is building the next generation development platform as a service for the workgroup to the enterprise. As a System Engineer, you should be a flexible, results-oriented, and experienced with high-traffic cloud platforms. This is a high profile position at CollabNet and part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of CollabNet’s CloudForge solution. You will contribute to the architectural direction of our next generation infrastructure. You are ambitious, talented, and driven to make the team successful and make the best cloud development platform for the enterprise.
Work with a team of high energy and competent engineers in addition to being exposed to technologies like NetApp storage and cloud automation platforms!
Manage availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of CollabNet’s Enterprise Services.
Identify recurring tasks and inefficiencies which require automation and automate them.
Analyze and troubleshoot network, performance, and other infrastructure issues.
Evaluate hardware and software technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
Streamline application deployment through automation.
3+ years Linux system administration, solid shell scripting.
Knowledge in Apache, SVN, PosgreSQL, Web technologies.
Knowledge and experience with Ruby on Rails.
Ability to solve problems quickly and completely, and document your solutions.
Improve and maintain 99.9% infrastructure and operations.
Availability for on-call pager rotations.
Excellent communication skills and experience working effectively with peers.
Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and still complete tasks on time.
Experience with Puppet, Chef, or CFEngine is a plus.
