Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and three (3) years of relevant experience in an information technology field; or Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and one (1) year of relevant experience in an information technology field. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with relational database design especially using Oracle, SQL, XML. Worldwide web site design and construction using HTML, DHTML, Javascript, ASP and ASP.NET. Experience with electronic data interchange and interface construction. Experience with Sungard Banner or supporting a student housing management system. Experience in reading code and programming in a variety of languages that might include PL/SQL, C, COBOL, Visual Basic, C#, C++, Perl, shell scripting languages and Java. Experience in a higher education environment. Experience with MS-Office including Access, Visio and Project.

Responsible for the on going implementation of the University's information systems. Provides leadership and support for employees using University computer systems in assigned departments or work units, and provides backup support to departments and work units assigned to other team leaders.

Serves as the primary technical consultant to assigned departments. Provides services to expand and improve business processes and leads departments in the development of system specifications from applicable business requirements, University policy, statute and rule. Leads cross-departmental teams to develop detailed project plans and will manage the resources required to execute these plans by developing, communicating, and tracking project schedules, team assignments, and budgets. The Team Leader will be the primary technical resource for these project teams.

Provides support for the use of technology to assigned departments and is responsible for coordinating available resources to provide support for existing business processes. This support includes but is not limited to on-demand support, error resolution, defect correction, reporting, and training.

Marginal

Through a program of cross-training, the Team Leader will develop skills across all functional areas of the University. The Team Leader will serve on committees, task forces, and work groups that pertain to the usage of information systems by University personnel, or other committees as directed by University leadership.
