Ke`aki Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Support Administrator. The position will be located at the Navy Drug Screening Laboratory located in San Diego, California . The position requires US Citizenship and a Secret Clearance due to being on a government contract, and a signed confidentiality agreement.

SCOPE: The candidate will be responsible for support and security compliance of the Microsoft Server, Desktop and Security Applications. Contractor will provide support for the Navy Drug Screening Laboratory located in San Diego, California. Candidate must be able to build, deploy, administer and control Microsoft Windows 2008 and XP/7 environments. Candidate will be part of a small IT Team focusing on security, configuration and compliance of the MIS systems. Candidate will interact with IT Program Lead and Network Operations team members. Candidate will assist with network configurations and maintenance.



  • Administers McAfee HBSS (Host Based Security System) software and modules
  • Administers Microsoft SMS/SCCM Applications
  • Administers Desktop deployment via Symantec Ghost
  • Administers Retina/Gold Disk/NESSUS Vulnerability Scanner
  • Interacts with a VMware Virtual Infrastructure Environment
  • Deploys patches/updates with VMware Protect/Shavlik and Microsoft WSUS
  • Deploys Windows Server 2008R2 and XP /7 Desktop Environments
  • Administers and Maintains Server and Desktop Configurations
  • Provides On-Site assistance to Network Operations Team
  • Administers Switch Port-Security Configurations
  • Manages VLAN configurations
  • Assists with troubleshooting network infrastructure equipment
  • Troubleshoots PC/User issues via Internal Ticket System
  • Administers Microsoft Active Directory
  • Serves as Technical Lead/Liaison for all MIS functions

  • Contractor shall manage servers, systems, and networked devices; perform systems’ routine maintenance and configuration; prepare reports and documentation; coordinate activities with other IT Specialists in the department.

    The contractor will provide technical services to include:

  • Prepare and maintain documentation, to include Network and System configurations.
  • Create, design, install, and manage Application Systems to align with DISA STIG and operational requirements.
  • Design and prepare technical reports, presentations, or briefs.


    The consultant/analyst selected must have:

  • Microsoft MCTS or better (Mandatory)
  • Cisco CCENT (Mandatory) CCNA (Preferred)
  • Comptia Security + (Mandatory)
  • VMware ESX 4/5 Administration Experience
  • Contractor must be highly experienced with Desktop Support handling multiple projects at once
  • Experience utilizing Retina/Gold Disk/NESSUS Vulnerability Scanners
  • Ability to create and deploy packages via Microsoft SMS/SCCM Server.
  • Experience with daily McAfee HBSS compliance and reporting required
  • Experience Administering Symantec Backup Exec 2010/2012
  • Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory
