Join the team of 5-9 technicians!ABN Technologies is actively recruiting for Computer Technicians or IT Administrators to be field IT Support Specialists that provide end-user and desktop support to our government client. Candidates shall possess a Security+ certification at a minimum to qualify for one of the two job titles below. #1 Primary Responsibilities of the Computer Technician (End User Support) will include: Ensure that all IT equipment, to include network hardware, server hardware, workstations, printers, portable computers, network infrastructure (cabling), and miscellaneous IT equipment, is functioning at all times to support mission requirements. IT support services shall be provided to users when working at their primary duty location, when working from an alternate site, and/or when working in a temporary duty status away from primary duty location. Additional MS certification required. Resolves routine and minor technical problems related to mainframe Local Area Network (LAN) servers and network and escalates problems to appropriate technical personnel Typically addresses and resolves higher level issues often requiring training and experience in specialized IT fields and areas - such as Active Directory PC configuration and use network protocol troubleshooting and configuration client/server configuration image building and deployment. Documents calls using approved available software Monitors and reports on systems' operational status Produces standard and ad-hoc reports from the trouble ticket database Performs general operational troubleshooting and resolution tasks on software client-server applications networked printers and computer systems#2...Primary responsibilities for the Network Administrator will include the setup and administration of OperatingSystems, servers, workstations, laptops, file servers, firewalls, related telecommunications andnetwork software and hardware. Optimizes system operations and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Additional CCNA certification preferred.All employees should be familiar with this computing environment: Microsoft Windows7 Enterprise workstations, Windows 2008 enterprise servers.Cisco and Enterasys networking equipment (routers, switches and access points).Various models of Kyocera, Intermec and Printronix printers.Various models of Dell servers, desktops, laptops, monitors, keyboards and mice.Psion/Teklogix Radio Frequency (RF) handhelds and mobile mounted terminals.BMC/Remedy Incident and Asset Management SystemIT Field Support Specialists MUST HAVE: Current Security+ certification 2-3 years' work experience with technology systems that can include automation equipment troubleshooting, systems analysis, hardware installation and maintenance, software testing, software installation and maintenance, network installation and maintenance, database administration/design, or project management. Current SECRET Clearance or ability to be granted Clear driving record with valid state driver's license High School Diploma or EquivalentPREFERRED for Our IT Field Support Specialists: ONE of the following Cisco /or Microsoft Certifications: MCDST, MCITP EDST, MCITP EDA, MCITP EA, MCM, MCSA, MCSE, MCA: MS Windows Server Directory, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008: Directory, CCSE NGX, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX (NG w/AI), CCMSE NG w/AI, CSMSE NG w/AI (VSX), NSA, ESE, ECIE-C, CCAA, or GCWNCompTIA Network+Willingness, flexibility, and ability to drive to various locations within the client facility to transport, troubleshoot, and maintain IT hardware software. While work will be at desktop areas, some technical work is outside, above ground; while other work will be in dimly lit, tight spaces.
