Systems Administrator Lead - Direct Labor - 1347899

The Lead System Administrator will supervise Windows Server systems administration, direct operation of a global Active Directory (AD) infrastructure with several thousand users in a mixed Windows and UNIX environment, and will manage Command, Control, Communication, Computer, and Intelligence (C4I) systems on unclassified, secret and top secret voice, video and data networks. The Lead SA will support garrison and deployed requirements, and will provide Information Assurance (IA) support. The Lead SA will monitor and manage server operation and connectivity, support system engineering and design, and provide Tier 3 support to local and remote customers. The Lead SA will be responsible for Tier 3 systems infrastructure, virtualization, mitigation, technology management, transition management, troubleshooting, and hardware/software support. Occasional travel may be required to support remote customer servers and sites. Duties include, but are not limited to: Deploy, operate, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot HBSS server and client equipment across multiple network domains; Provide technical advice and help coordinate and facilitate planning for service expansion and/or modification; Make recommendations and propose architectures for future network/systems plans; Manage Information Systems operating on SOCPAC network domains using Vulnerability Management System (VMS); Perform Secure Configuration Compliance Validation Initiative (SCCVI) Retina scanning; Remediate issues using WSUS, SCCM, or other government provided tools to achieve Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) compliance across all network domains; Develop, integrate, and maintain BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) and Secure Mobile Environment Portable Electronic Device (SME-PED) support components; Support Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs) and Command Inspections; Plan, design, scope, implement, and manage the structure, content, and naming conventions of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB); Conduct awareness training on Configuration Management processes, policies, and standards; Manage configuration items, and audit/verify CMDB accuracy; Evaluate configuration management tools and make process automation recommendations to the Configuration Management staff; Develop and maintain certification and accreditation (C&A) artifacts and documentation in accordance with Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP); and Support enterprise-wide computer network defense measures.

Candidate will demonstrate knowledge of AD, DDNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP, RTP, SCCP, HTTP, NAS, MS Back-office, COTS and GOTS applications. Requires bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional training and experience in Windows systems administration and group policy management. Candidate will be familiar with Windows and UNIX based system operations in deployed military environments. Strong communication skills (written & oral), and strong customer interface skills are extremely important. Windows and/or UNIX industry standard certifications are required. Candidate must be able to meet DoD 8570 IA certification requirements. Requires minimum of 8 years experience of systems administration on above listed operating systems, applications, and standards. Require strong troubleshooting background in computer hardware, communications equipment, and LAN.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI

Desired: MCSE or MCITP certification, ITIL v3 Foundations certification, Security+ certification, and SCCM experience.
