The selected candidate will provide over-the-phone, over-the-internet, and on-site systems and equipment-level technical assistance, troubleshooting, and training to the government in support of mobile and fixed RF and IT systems. Will provide suitable recommendations and solutions to technical issues, both verbally and in written format. Will travel periodically, at times to austere locations and environments. Will develop effective, professional, task level relationships with customers and other employeess. May train junior and peer personnel.
This position is located in Chesapeake, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.

Ku band experience (set up, usage, and maintenance, etc.).
Experience with the Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) used for the Internet and other similar networks.
Experience with UHF, VHF, 800 MHz handheld and base station-type radios.
Experience with Satellite communications equipment (IP routers, modems, ancillary equipment, and satellite antennas).
Experience with Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) architecture dealing with Idirect HUB and remote equipment.
Experience in electronics communication equipment operation and repair.
Experience with International Maritime Satellite Communications (INMARSAT) and Global Voice and Broadband Data (BEGAN) satellite communications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
High school diploma and at least six years related experience. Preferences:
Experience in personnel management/supervision (team building).
Prior US military experience in the fields of RF communications and Information Technology (IT). IT certifications (i.e. A+, Security+, Network+, CCNA, MSCE, etc.).
