Primary Duties, Responsibilities, & Essential Job Functions:
Provide systems design engineering and integration support to facilitate the new US STRATCOM facility.
Hands-on experience in data center storage engineering with a focus on designing, prototyping, implementation and upgrade of enterprise-wide, large-scale data center storage infrastructure; operating on complex distributed networks and supporting large corporations and/or DoD entities.
Specifically desired is experience with any of the following:
Multi-vendor Storage Area Networks (SAN)and/or Network Attached Storage (NAS).
Experience with NetApp and filers, Symmetrix, Veritas HA or Hitachi Universal Replicator.
Experieince with VMWare or HyperV and the design of storage systems in a private cloud or enterprise cloud.
High Availability Hierarchical Storage Management.
Multi-tenancy data storage.
Fiber channel/fabric or InfiniBand (or other back-up media).
Backup tape libraries.
Data center storage continuity of operations infrastructure.
Virtual storage environments
VMWare Certified Professional.
Cisco Data Center Storage Networking Design Specialist.
EMC Proven Professional.
Any one of the following:
SCP: SNIA Certified Professional / COMPTIA Storage+
SCSE: SNIA Certified Storage Engineer
SCA: SNIA Certified Architect
SCSN-E: SNIA Certified Storage Networking Expert (requires an additional vendor credential)
DoD SECRET security clearance
.IAT Level II certified (Security + or other baseline certification AND a computing envirionment certification) per the 8570.01M
