Systems Engineer needed with the desire to support the Navy’s SSBN and Fleet Ballistic Missile programs.

Responsibilities:

Perform systems analysis to assist decision makers and designers supporting the Strategic Systems Programs and the Submarine Force, including defining, generating, and reviewing project requirements documentation. Assist with Nuclear Weapons Surety integration, FBM support, and future SSBN platform efforts. Perform technical studies to refine system requirements. Provide the coordination between resource managers and supervisors and ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are received. Conduct system performance testing and analysis to ensure system requirements are met.

Requirements:

B.S. Degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related technical degree is required. Advance technical degree is a plus. 7+ years’ experience as a Navy submarine officer or engineering duty officer preferred. Submarine Navigation experience is a plus. Experience in nuclear weapons surety programs and techniques, systems engineering including system design and development, system requirements definition, and performance testing are a plus. In addition, familiarity with ordnance or system safety, FBM Missile Facility operations and systems coordination would be a discriminator. Effective oral and written communication skills for working within a team environment. Ability to exercise independent judgment in support of analysis. Proficient in using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
