DMI is currently seeking to hire a JWICS Network Engineer for an Information Assurance/Cyber/Information Security program for a DoD customer on a long-term contract in the McLean, VA area.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive network security assessments to identify overall cyber defense baseline for all customer connected network entities and coordinate connection approval agreements
Conduct vulnerability assessments, and conduct a gap analysis to determine baseline network configuration and capabilities
Analyze the assessment data
Conduct a security baseline risk assessment
Recommend, develop, and deploy mitigating strategies
Prepare Connection Application Approval Packages.
Certification Requirements:
Information Assurance Technical (IAT) III (e.g. CISSP, CISA, GCIH, GSE, SCNA)
Demonstrated Skills and Experience: Must have:
Full understanding of JWICS system and functions
At least 5 years working experience in information security for the Intelligence, DoD or Law enforcement communities
IAM Level III or higher in accordance with DoD 8570 with CISSP certification and maintain certification criteria for the performance of duties
Working experience in network, operating system, and application vulnerability detection, analysis, and eradication of malicious intrusions into network architecture.
Experience with HIDs, NIDs, HBSS, security incident management tools, incident response and computer network defense best practices
Full understanding of IAVMs, and DoD/DISA Information Assurance policies and guidelines
Knowledge of Intel / IT Community requirements
DCID 6/3 and ICD 503 knowledge and experience
Working experience performing network, database, application, and operating system scans utilizing IC, DoD and LE standard tools and regulations.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as strong instructional, leadership and communication skills.
Experience with system C&A at an Intelligence Agency is a plus
Experience developing C&A packages, especially DCID 6/3 docs
Work independently and without continuous supervision
Experience with enterprise architectures and business processes
Experience with creating and adhering to management action plans, milestones, costs, schedule, and performance metrics
