The Strategic Development and Experimentation (SD&E) group of Phantom Works is looking for a US Air Force Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve on the Concept of Operations (Conops)/Operations Analysis team. Candidates will assist in the development of requirements and Conops for SD&E applications, specifically in the area of US Air Force experimentation requirements. This job reports directly to the Manager, Systems Engineering/Conops in SD&E. Candidates will be required to follow and independently execute the systems engineering experimentation process used in the SD&E organization and execute the Conops development portion of the process. Candidates will interact directly with the Conops Technical Lead Engineer, experiment lead engineers, senior managers and Business Unit leadership in the assessment of current products, future threats, and scenarios in order to develop options to address identified capability gaps. This effort also includes assessment of emerging technologies, and developing Conops applicable to various US Air Force and joint service mission areas to meet emerging requirements. Candidates must have knowledge of the existing Joint Family of Concepts (CCJO, JOE, Joint Functional Concepts, and Joint Integrating Concepts as they relate to current Capability Based Assessments, portfolios, and to the current operating environments). Candidates must maintain a network with US Air Force, Joint Staff, and Combatant Command representatives closely involved with Joint/US Air Force Conops development and refinement. Candidates must be able to: provide management support via analysis, demonstrations, exercises, and experiments with Conops development, including modification or interpretation advice as required; maintain expertise in the evolution of customer Joint/US Air Force Conops development efforts, the associated organizations, and terminology; create or modify disciplined Conops in support of new Boeing US Air Force/Joint initiatives, capabilities concepts, program evolution, etc.; demonstrate a refined working knowledge and understanding of the conceptual foundations for the execution of full spectrum of Joint Operations, and US Air Force operations and follow-on US Air Force conceptual development initiatives; demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills including creation of presentations that crisply and concisely convey Conops.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration
Do you have a minimum of twelve (12) years experience in or working with the US Air Force or Joint Operations or Conops or Operations Analysis field?
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
