Within the CIO organization, this role is responsible for the substantiation and qualification of business-requested IT initiatives. The role interfaces with business teams to understand the business requirements, justification, and priority of an initiative, works with IT teams to scope and estimate the request, and then gains funding and review approvals. Candidate will assume ownership of the systems plan for a business, and be responsible to ensure IT delivery against the agreed plan and priority. Requires a highly skilled, highly motivated candidate possessing above average leadership and managerial skills.

Develops and maintains strong working relationships with business and IT management teams

Understand and validates the justification for business requests, and assesses the relative priority of the request against others from same or other business teams

Engages appropriate IT teams to scope and estimate the business request. As necessary, facilitates additional sessions with business and IT teams to ensure understanding and agreement.

Guides the estimated request through any and all required funding review and approval committees, including TWA, PPC, IT UDC, and PIF.

Provide management oversight of IT initiatives & ensures appropriate delivery to the business.

Provide assistance and coaching as necessary to other Systems Plan team members to ensure departmental, individual, and project goals are met.

Develop plans for assigned business or systems from the point of view of the Bank and according to the strategic technology framework of the Group.
