DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be also responsible for developing systems integrator and OEM channels who serve these market segments. The weighing and dimensioning market is growing rapidly as our customers implement programs to improve efficiency, optimize warehouse space and adapt to the dimensional weight tariff requirements of all major shippers.

DUTIES

This position will be located in the southeast U.S. and will be responsible for managing METTLER TOLEDO accounts in the Transportation and Logistics market segment. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with our largest accounts, and the profitable sales growth of our Weighing, Dimensioning and AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) solutions. The primary segments this individual will be responsible for are the parcel carrier, warehouse, LTL and air cargo This position will also be responsible for managing the sales cycle for specific projects; application support for our customers, proposal creation, order write-up and installation management. This position will also work closely with the Transport and Logistics sales team to coordinate segment marketing activities, along with devising and implementing sales strategies for the major T&L customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 5 years of key account management experience is required, preferably in the transport and logistics industry. BS degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience in applying solutions to improve flow, tracking and reporting processes in parcel carrier, warehouse and logistics applications.

  • Knowledge of key account management methodology and process
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Strong customer orientation with a hands-on mentality
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to read communication styles of customers and team members
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, customers, internal departments and 3rd party subcontractors and vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to make presentations to groups and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
