High School graduate or equivalent, Associate’s degree preferred. Some knowledge and understanding of manufacturing desirable.
One year related office experience required. One year related grant management and implementation experience preferred.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide assistance with grants, budgets, reports, and marketing for the TAA CCCTG Grant
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide administrative support to Coordinator and other TAA CCCTG grant staff, including curriculum developers and instructors
Assist with the Grant Evaluator the development of a grant data tracking system
Arrange and schedule meetings, rooms for information and testing session sites and other program activities as needed
Assist with student recruitment and referrals
Process student registration, invoices, purchase or payment requests
Compile and collect necessary grant records for reporting
Establish and maintain working relationships with other MCC staff as well as outside agencies and community resources who are involved with our grant programming or who serve clients that can benefit from our programming
Assist with marketing all aspects of grant programming by working closely with Office of Marketing and Public Relations and Continuing Education Publication Specialist to prepare all flyers, press releases and advertisements for MCC publications and local newspapers
Assist with development of information session/application materials for all grant course offerings; additionally, assist Administrator with all information and testing sessions as needed, including those scheduled outside of regular work week
Assist with regular review of grant objectives and recommend strategies to assure goals are being met
Assist in data gathering, documentation, and preparation of governmental reports
Monitor grant budget providing stakeholders with updates and recommendations for future programming; work closely with MCC accountant and TAA CCCTG coordinator to ensure DOL quarterly financial reports are completed
Assist with curriculum development
Additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor, including representing TAA CCCTG Coordinator when needed
Participate in DOL and college trainings, as needed
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong record keeping and organizational skills, with attention to detail
Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Self motivated with ability to work both independently and as a team player
Ability to work with confidential matters including: student records, instructor contracts and budgetary issues
Maintain mature and enthusiastic attitude with ability to work with diverse clientele.
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work
Willingness to remain flexible to be able to assist and participate in grant programming as needed
Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. unassisted
Able to perform all of the essential functions, skills, and abilities of the position
