In this position, you will use your professional training, industry knowledge and experience to conduct and manage technical due diligence and reporting for corporate financial investments in renewable energy projects (PV, Concentrated Solar, On & Off-Shore Wind, etc). This position requires both project management and active project participation and includes interaction with corporate asset management group as well as seller, project-specific technical analyses and modeling of commercial assets, management of in-house technical staff and subcontractors, final report compilation and quality reviews and participation as technical advisor in asset negotiations as appropriate following report delivery.

Approximately 50% domestic and international travel is required.


BS Degree in Engineering discipline is required (mechanical, civil, electrical, etc.)
MS and Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Financial training / experience a plus

The preferred candidate will have at least 10 years practical engineering / consulting experience with the operations and maintenance of power generation assets and at least 5 years technical due diligence experience. Experience in the operations or reliability management position of a power plant or an Asset Management organization is a must. Working knowledge of NERC GADS is desirable. Understanding of the different markets in North America and Europe and how the management of power plants differs within those markets is required. Consulting experience is a must. Renewable energy project experience in North Americaand Europe is highly desirable.

We require very strong analytical, problem-solving and project, staff and subcontractor management abilities as well as sound writing, communications and interpersonal skills. Must be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and on short notice.Spreadsheet and project management software expertiseis also required and familiarity with WindPRO and PVSyst is a plus. Foreign language capabilities are also desirable.
