This position is for a Cardiovascular Specialty Sales Representative located in Rochester S, NY. Candidates will understand, analyze and apply training on health care industry trends, applicable laws and regulations, market conditions, and the managed health care environment in daily execution of sales calls within compliance guidelines. Uses BMS-provided market insights and data analytics to identify and prioritize business drivers, and offer solutions to problems and challenges. Allocates BMS resources in a manner tailored to meet different customer needs and opportunities, monitors performance of plans and makes real-time adjustments. Demonstrates thorough understanding and applies training with respect to disease state, BMS products and relevant competitor products, including: product characteristics, mechanisms of action, indications, efficacy, safety, etc. Comprehends and effectively communicates complex technical information, including scientific concepts and continues to expand knowledge in these areas . Works with territory matrix team to identify new business opportunities and develop appropriate tactics and strategies. Builds and maintains strong professional relationships with physicians in private practice, medical group practices, hospitals, office staffs and others in the patient care continuum. Fosters team effectiveness and accomplishment of shared goals through appropriate sharing of knowledge, experience, and information. Drives market share growth and maximizes sales performance within the indicated use and for theapproved patients.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum of 3 years of healthcare sales experience or transferable skills. Prior sales account management experience and knowledge of hospitals, integrated delivery networks or medical groups from working in the healthcare industry desired. Ability to apply business planning approaches to achieve a track record of successful sales results. Skilled in translating how healthcare trends and other business drivers impact customers. Demonstrated ability to analyze data as well as develop, execute and adjust business plans to improve business performance. Track record of building and maintaining professional relationships with key customers, office staff and others in the customer influence network. Effectively and appropriately use active listening, probing and other selling skills to enhance communication, build and influence key customers
