Total Filtration Services, the leaders in filtration management, has an excellent career opportunity for a results oriented industrial Customer Service Representative to support its Chantilly, VA branch. The Customer Service Representative provides world class customer service to the company's customers and also supports outside sales efforts. Responds in an urgent yet controlled manner to resolve customer issues, and seeks out technical information from vendors, Branch Managers, and Territory Managers in order to provide answers to customer questions. Provides support to the field sales force from inside a branch office.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
•Treats customers with highest level of customer service
•Enters customer orders in business system in an accurate and timely fashion
•Understands the sales order, inventory, and purchasing processes
•Provides quotes in a timely and accurate manner
•Follows up and reports on open order report weekly
•Follows up on Packing Slip/Proof of Delivery for shipment
•Follows up on open orders past due delivery date
•Assists in updating and maintaining customer pricing records
•Coordinates new part setups, sourcing requests, and non-stocks with Corporate Purchasing
•Communicates and provides solutions to problems to supervisor
•Acts as a positive team player within Customer Service and other departments
•Possesses proactive communication skills with customers and Territory Managers
•Maintains a positive “can do” attitude when working with customers, peers, and supervisor
•Provides suggestions for cost savings to supervisor
•Provides recommendations to supervisor for process improvements and enhanced customer service
•Seeks to gain product knowledge
•Attends on- and off-site training
•Maintains knowledge of company policies and programs
•Participates in company projects
•Follows company programs and regulations
•Holds a professional presence and shows initiative
•Maintains on-time attendance and manages break times
•Provides support to outside business development associates
•Other duties as assigned by management

Educational Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
•High school diploma or equivalent required

•2-3 years with background in commercial and industrial products distribution preferred

Travel Requirements:
•May visit customer sites, primarily local
•Minimal out of town travel for vendor training and trade show attendance
