Salary: Commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications: Masters Degree from an accredited program. NYS Licensure. Experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness as well as those with developmental disabilities as well as crisis intervention and discharge planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Paid professional or graduate field placement in a comprehensive psychiatric emergency program, mobile crisis team or emergency room experience with psychiatric assessments.

  • Team discussions/rounds
  • Discharge planning activities
  • Patient/Family assessments, disposition planning/community referrals
  • Outside agency contacts/collateral information
  • Insurance and hospital contacts regarding admissions

Special Notes: Shift: Full-time evening position (1200-0030). Please note Stony Brook University Medical Center is a smoke free environment. All Hospital positions are subject to changes in pass days and shifts as necessary. This position may require the wearing of respiratory protection, which may prohibit the wearing of facial hair.
