General Dynamics is seeking a Top Secret cleared Regional Lead Systems Administrator. The Lead Senior Systems Administrator will be required to perform the following additional duties; 1) Working with all regional systems administrators within the region to schedule leave, 2) Coordinating with program management to deploy critical patches, 3) Providing feedback from all systems administrators within the region regarding operational concerns, successes, and challenges. Support will include, but is not limited to:
The candidate will install, configure, check, and implement components of the enclave at all locations within their assigned region.
Review the site utilization, workload, and for making a technical justification for additional resources to maintain optimal efficiency.
Provide ad-hoc network, workstation, and Internet support for related customer initiatives.
maintain all networking, storage, virtualization, and other components of the customer's enclaves within their region.
Determine whether proper administration requires a site visit, or whether the local systems administrators can be talked through the process. Regardless of whether a local site visit or remote administration is accomplished, each Regional Lead Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all enclaves within their region are up to date and working properly.
Evaluate effectiveness of existing technologies, and considering emerging technologies. The candidate will explore emerging technology encountered in the field, through independent research.
Perform administration and maintenance of hardware and software systems utilized throughout the program.
Documentation, testing, and deployment of modernization technologies to existing production environments.
Provide technical documentation of components of the customer's environments.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
8-10 years of directly related experience in network and systems adminstration and virtualization.
Microsoft Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, Firewalls, Cisco Switches, and Cisco Routers.
CCNA, MCSA, or MCITP are a plus.
