The Tax Analyst – Tax Accounting & Reporting is responsible for the United States tax compliance and tax accounting. The position will also assist with review of foreign tax provisions.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepares Federal and State income tax/franchise tax returns (including consolidated and unitary returns) for accuracy and completeness.
Prepares the global quarterly tax provision calculation (ASC740/APB28).
Assists in reviewing the foreign tax provisions (ASC740/FAS109).
Prepares estimated and extension payment tax calculations.
Responsible for maintaining/supporting the global transfer price process.
Assists in maintaining international E&P analyses and calculation of US foreign tax credits.
Assists with special projects, many of which will have multinational tax consequences.
Assists with state, federal, and/or foreign audits, as necessary.
Maintains the tax provision and tax return work papers and files.
Liaise with other internal departments (i.e., Corporate Accounting, Local Financial Controllers, etc.)
Minimum Requirements: Education & Experience
A bachelors degree in accounting or a graduate equivalent is required and 1 to 3 years experience with a corporate tax department or equivalent experience with a CPA firm.
Corporate tax compliance experience is required (Federal and State).
CPA certification and/or an M.S. in Taxation degree are highly desirable.
Exposure to ASC740/FAS109 is highly desirable.
Some exposure to U.S. international tax concepts including Subpart F, E&P, foreign tax credits is desirable
Knowledge & Skills:
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a team environment.
Some exposure to OneSource Tax Provision and Compliance software products is desirable.
Proficient use of Excel for creating and automating reports. Knowledge of advanced applications such as macros and formulas highly desirable.
Effective administrative and organizational skills.
