We are currently seeking a Sales & Use Tax Manager to manage multiple and challenging tax engagements and to contribute to the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas for our diverse clients. Demonstrate an understanding of complex sales & use tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Develop and deliver quality multi-state sales & use tax audit defense, taxability analysis and tax planning approaches with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations. Identify and sell opportunities for sales & use tax services.
Manage the sales & use tax project work of client service team members. Participate in and contribute to attaining team goals.
Quickly analyze and provide innovative solutions to our diverse client base. Drive client satisfaction through demonstrating an understanding of complex sales and use tax concepts and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to our clients and the taxing authorities. Prepare quality, practical approaches to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
To qualify, candidates must have:
a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related sales & use tax consulting experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related sales & use tax consulting experience
a degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field; an advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable
thorough understanding of sales & use tax audits, nexus standards and ability to research taxability of transactions in multiple jurisdictions
Strong understanding of NJ sales & use tax law preferred
CPA certification, Member of the Bar, or foreign equivalent certification
CMI Sales Tax designation preferred
