Ernst & Young's Americas Tax practice is one of the largest, most highly respected and technically advanced tax practices in the world, with approximately 6,000 professionals and $2 billion in tax revenue in North America. Through an integrated international, federal, and state and local tax approach that focuses on technical and operational issues and opportunities, EY tax professionals help clients understand the important linkage between tax planning and their business imperatives. We provide a wide array of tax services to help clients identify and implement winning tax strategies.
Our Financial Services Office (FSO) Tax practice takes this focus one step further by serving the unique tax issues facing companies in the Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance and Asset Management sectors across the Americas. While globalization, transparency and technology advances have been the norm for years across all industries, the Financial Service industry has undergone dramatic change in recent years that have made Tax an even more challenging field in which to operate.
Ernst & Young's FSO Tax Performance Advisory (TPA) practice assists financial services companies in developing world-class tax functions. We offer a broad array of services, including tax accounting and compliance process improvement, tax sensitization of ERP systems, automation of complex hedge fund allocations, and implementation of new tax processes and/or technology to deal with ongoing legislative and regulatory changes (e.g., FATCA, Dodd-Frank). TPA works with clients to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of their tax functions and assists them to better connect with Executive Management, including Finance, Operations, Compliance and the front office.
