Position Type: Long Term Temporary Part-Time Teacher's Aide position through May 31, 2013, 30 hours/week. Mondays and Fridays 8AM-12PM, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 8AM-4PM.
To assist teachers in all that contributes to a positive academic environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Teacher’s Aide Duties
Assists in the implementation of daily program activities.
Supports classroom management techniques used by the teacher to maintain a positive and safe environment
Assists the classroom teacher
Attends required in-service trainings.
Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED certificate. A minimum age of 18. Experience in and personal qualifications for working with children. Current staff health form including tuberculosis test results. Must have current clearances (FBI, State Police, Child Abuse, Act 24)
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others. A history of good character as well as good physical and mental health
Must be under direct supervision of a teacher at all times and is not be permitted to assume independent responsibilities for a group of children
