Conducts reviews of current operations, systems or programs for efficiency and effectiveness Recommends changes and improvements where appropriate Serves as the functional unit or managerial unit Budget Coordinator Assists management with monitoring budget variance reports and budget changes for compliance with company policy and department budget guidelines Acts as a liaison between the manager or executive and his or her direct reports Develops project plans and coordinates or directs special projects for management COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of project management principles, practices and techniques Knowledge of budgeting systems and budget variance reporting Excellent organization and planning skills Ability to pay attention to detail QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED with five to seven years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to write correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. COMPUTER SKILLS: Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
