Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Medical Imaging Operations Manager, is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as other assigned duties in the care and treatment of patients. In addition serves a US Lead Technologist offering technical assistance to providers and staff; oversight, performance and maintenance of equipment; training/mentoring new and existing Ultrasound staff and other duties as needed .

High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of formal educational/training program for radiology and/or medical imaging. Registered or eligible for registry by ARRT. Licensure of eligible for licensure in the State of WI. 3-5 years of experience as a technologist and follows mandated guidelines for continuing education. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present oneself and ideas clearly and concisely. Good organizational skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Ability to travel to other locations as needed. Preferred:
Previous experience inUltrasound. Previous leadership experience. Essential Physical Functions:

Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to hear and converse on the phone and in person. Ability to see fine print and to use the computer. Ability to perform fine motor tasks, such as when working lab equipment, writing, computer or phone tasks. Ability to occasionally lift and push/pull boxes or equipment weighting up to 20 pounds. Periodically patient handling tasks may be performed. Ability to work with and to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when working with blood borne pathogens or other chemicals. Ability to safely wear a respirator and perform CPR. Responsibilities:
Offers technical assistance to Radiologists and referring physicians. Responsible for the oversight of ACR accreditation for the Modality and Technologists. Oversees daily and weekly supply orders. Assists with patient and room scheduling. Creates technologist schedule. Assists technologists with difficult or complex exams, offers advice and researches solutions to problems. Evaluates equipment performance. Troubleshoots equipment malfunction, does minor repair of malfunctioning equipment and coordinates outside activities. Works with Manager to evaluate new equipment. Trains, mentors new and existing employees. Provides feedback to Manager for employee performance evaluations. Reviews daily records to ensure that required procedures are being done correctly. Researches journal articles for Radiologists, shares new information or changes in the field. Informs Manager of potential problems that may affect operation in the section. Provides input to Manager for budgeting process. Acts as Charge in absence of Manager. Performs regular site visits at each site their modality is located at. Maintain knowledge of HIPPA regulations and compliance. Performs technical duties/procedures in an efficient and professional manner as outlined. Salary Range

The minimum hourly wage is $30.47 per hour. Several factors are considered when determining final compensation.
