Job Description
The interns chief responsibility will be to use a micro-analytical balance to weigh microgram to milligram-sized samples of non-toxic powdered materials for isotope ratio analysis.

Training will be provided.

The intern may also assist with processing samples prior to weighing, tracking samples through receipt, processing and weighing, and may, according to their interest and qualifications, be taught how to operate an isotope ratio mass spectrometer.
This is an acedemic year internchip with the possibility of continuing.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must be degree-seeking students enrolled at an accredited college or university.

Candidates must be taking at least 6 credit hours and have an overall GPA of 2.5.

All staff at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory must be able to demonstrate the legal right to work in the United States.

Qualifications
Must have steady hands, good close vision, and excellent attention to detail.
Must have excellent spoken and written English language skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a database program would be helpful but is not required.
Background in science, such as chemistry or biology is desired.
Laboratory experience is desired.
3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
