Gaming; The Technical Analyst is a key member of the Disney Interactive Ad Operations team and supports a variety of desktop and mobile products, including: Disney, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Radio Disney, Babble, Spoonful, Babyzone, and a variety of mobile and social gaming titles.

The Technical Analyst develops new, internal ad products for a variety of desktop and mobile products including, in demand, "high impact" rich media executions and responsive ad products. Development requires the use of HTML, JavaScript, XML, and CSS, and the Technical Analyst will be called upon to develop creative solutions using these technologies. Some projects may also involve use of Flash. The Technical Analyst partners with various teams to test all existing and new internal and vendor products (display and video) for desktop, mobile and tablet platforms. This includes vetting, testing and troubleshooting third-party ad products to ensure vendor products display and function properly across all platforms and devices. This position provides tier 3 troubleshooting support for existing ad products and identified ad system issues. The Technical Analyst also acts as a general consultant for all technical ad integration issues during site redesigns, acquisitions, or other site changes. This requires agility and responsiveness, especially to live site and production issues, being nimble and able to juggle multiple priorities, and incumbent may be called upon to address these critical issues after hours. The Technical Analyst position documents products and best practices, and conduct research on current digital advertising technologies and trends as well as general web technologies. Responsibilities * 25% - Vetting, testing and troubleshooting new advertising products; includes some development, testing, and final implementation * 20% - Escalation support for ad related issues for all Disney Interactive products, troubleshooting issues may include live-site broken ads, ad data discrepancies, or ad integration problems * 20% - Creating new, internal ad products and ad system templates; includes use of HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript for development * 20% - Documentation of new and existing ad technologies and ad products in an effort to better educate the teams on best practices and capabilities and researching new advertising media technologies, trends, and industry practices * 15% - Support various stakeholders by completing additional maintenance tasks as assigned Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree, multimedia and/or technical degree or equivalent experience required * 2-3 years of successful experience in the internet or media design industries, specifically in web development * Digital advertising experience, and/or ad serving knowledge * Strong HTML skills * JavaScript - troubleshooting skills * JavaScript - script authoring * Flash/ActionScript experience * Experience working with JQuery or other JavaScript libraries/frameworks * CSS experience * XML experience a plus * Experience with DFP a plus * Intermediate troubleshooting and problem solving skills in multiple platforms * Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Strong analytical skills * Attention to detail * Ability to communicate technical issues, both verbally and in writing, in a way that is easy for non-technical coworkers and stakeholders to understand * Familiarity with multimedia applications such as streaming audio and video * Experience working with and developing testing methodologies * Marketing and advertising knowledge a plus Required Education * Bachelor's Degree, multimedia and/or technical degree or equivalent experience required Job Posting Industries Digital / Interactive Additional Information This Position is with the legal entity Disney Interactive COMPANY OVERVIEW -- Disney Interactive, the interactive entertainment affiliate of The Walt Disney Company, creates immersive, connected, interactive experiences across console, online, mobile and social platforms to entertain and inform audiences around the globe.
