This is a Lead Technical and Analyst role who is responsible for support, enhancement and implementation of Dressbarn's merchandising systems.
Duties and responsibilities:
Lead the analysis, design, development, test and installation of enhancements or upgrade of merchandising system.
Responsible for interfaces and integration of merchandising system with external applications
Support existing merchandising production systems
Can lead and mentor technical team in the design, development, implementation and execution of systems
Develop and maintain functional and technical design documents.
Provide excellent customer service and maintains a good relationship with Dressbarn business partners and other IT teams. Collaborates with business and members throughout IT to ensure a successful issue resolution
Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary
Tracks progress and provides status on on-going tasks. Proactively identifies barriers that may risk meeting the project deadline.
Abreast on technology trends and best development practices
Ensures merchandising system availability according to SLA's
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
At least 7 years experience supporting retail systems. Apparel retail industry experience is an advantage.
Hands-on, technically competent individual who has solid understanding of merchandising, allocations and supply chain technology within a highly integrated environment.
Strong analytical, problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
Expertise in Oracle Retail RMS and RDW (10, 12 or 13) implementation and support. Working experience supporting RPAS, JDA Allocations, planning tools highly desirable
Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Java, ProC, Unix, Oracle database 10, 11g, RIB/Seebeyond or other integration layer, XML, Control M or Appworx, TOAD or other SQL scripting tools, Microsoft Office (Project, Visio, Excel, Word)
Fully understands SDLC and ITIL concepts.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Team oriented and yet can work independently
Can lead and mentor a team of developers - both in-house and off-shore resources
