The Corporate Internet Group (CIG) is a Chase organization that supports public Internet sites for many J.P. Morgan Chase lines of business. CIG is comprised of over 400 professionals located in Delaware, California, Washington, New York, Ohio, Florida and Illinois and has several offshore components. As a Solaris Web Infrastructure administrator, candidates will work in a team environment to provide administration of Sun One Java Web Server, Apache Web Server, IBM Websphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server. Working knowledge of Siteminder Policy Server with SAML, experience with sendmail and/or email applications such as Kana Response or Brickstreet Connect a plus.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the installation, configuration, and on going maintenance of development, QA, and Production infrastructures/environments. Shell scripting the installations, and replication of environments is a primary role in this position. Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting application issues with these products is required. You must be able to work individually and in a team environment. Candidate will be part of a team which will support production environments in a 24/7 mode.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Environment Support 24/7 with onshore/offshore resources
Build Environments to specifications.
Installation, configuration and tuning of sendmail
Create practice and maintain standard installation and setup procedures for various applications. Help Update documentation for Run The Engine Functions
Participate in incident resolution and perform Root cause analyses on production issues.
Consult with vendors & other teams to recommend best practices and tune software during the development cycle.
Recommend and maintain standards for monitoring and event management.
Maintain and facilitate standard backup procedures, retention plans, and restore testing.
Assess impact on performance with different changes and review scalability of the infrastructure.
Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
5-8 years of proven experience in installation, configuration and administration of the following:
IBM Websphere Application Server 6.x
SUN ONE Java Web Server 6.x and above
Apache Web Server
IBM HTTP Server
CA Siteminder Policy Server with SAML integration a plus
Kana Response or Brickstreet Connect a plus
Familiarity with Oracle, DB2 and SQL Databases
Experience in shell and Perl scripting is a must.
Experience with redundancy and resiliency applied to create a high availability service.
Experience in working in a 24X7 environments and on-call support.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Team Player with ability to deliver individually as well.
