The Web/Mobile Project Manager will be responsible for executing and delivering projects for NBC Sports digital properties including mobile, video delivery and content management, with the overarching goal of providing deliverables within scope, budget and within project timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on deliverables for web, video and mobile applications to take a project from conception through testing and production.
Produce top down and bottom up budgets, project schedules/plans, risk plans, communication plans, etc. using generally accepted project management processes and tools.
Develops resource plans by working with project leaders to ensure appropriate resources are in place throughout each project.
Coordinates all project deliverables to ensure team is staying on track with deliverables and communicates progress to all stakeholders.
Proactively adjusts budgets, resources and schedules as appropriate in accordance with dynamically changing business and industry needs
Proactively identifies opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies, engages the appropriate stakeholders prior to making any major changes.
Incorporates quality control processes into each project – i.e. qa, smoke testing.
Manages change request process – identification and documentation of a change in scope.
Work closely with interactive developers, designers and project managers to create a highly polished visual experience.
Minimum three (3) years of PM experience using MS Project or similar software.
BS/BA in a relevant field, or with equivalent experience.
Clear understanding of project management concepts, preferably PMI ‘s PMBOK.
Understanding of HTML, CSS,
Knowledge of web, online video and mobile standards, best practices, design and usability principles, and constraints within web, mobile and e-mail formats.
Ability to manage outside resources, including vendors and freelancers.
Ability to self-start, self-manage, meet deadlines, and learn from mistakes.
Excellent organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and creativity with the ability to articulate concepts to a variety of audiences.
Experience working in a matrix organization.
Ability to identify and plan for project risks.

Experience with Microsoft Silverlight, h264, DART, Flash Video, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery, ActionScript 2 & 3 are all pluses.
