AppNexus is looking for a Technical Recruiter to spearhead our West Coast recruiting efforts. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a high volume of requisitions, is a self-starter, and works well without constant supervision.

This position will be the first member of the Recruiting team on the west coast. This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial recruiter to build our West Coast presence and have an impact from day 1.

Responsibilities include:
  • Build and manage relationships with executives and colleagues to identify current and future strategic staffing needs.
  • Establish relationships with client groups to get a full understanding of their business objectives, business challenges and corporate culture, using that information to attract quality candidates in a very competitive market.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to write job descriptions and set recruiting strategies that include assessing internal and external talent, sourcing passive and diverse candidates and managing the flow of employee referrals.
  • Attract, source and screen applicants using a variety of innovative techniques including social networking and direct sourcing, while staying abreast of developing market conditions and trends in the media space.
  • Full-cycle management of the selection process including scheduling interviews with the line of business, soliciting feedback from both the Hiring Manager as well as the candidate and preparing and extending offers.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years’ experience recruiting Software Engineers, preferably in a start-up environment.
  • Demonstrated success in filling a variety of roles at all levels.
  • Proven experience building effective relationships with senior management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
