Pentaho is hiring a technical marketer who can build memorable, unique and valuable solution oriented marketing content to help shape the Pentaho story and take advantage of two “hot” emerging market shifts: towards big and diverse data and towards cloud-ready, embeddable analytics.

Position Summary:
The key objective of the position is to understand and articulate the business value Pentaho customers achieve with our suite of products through the development, design and implementation of solution demos and other technical solution-related content. These demos and other assets will be leveraged across Pentaho
  • ’s web properties, in search, and in other demand generation activities. These solutions must move beyond traditional features/benefits product marketing and drive a more customer-oriented approach. As the technical solutions expert on the marketing team he/she must work in a very out-bound and cross-company oriented fashion. The successful candidate must be extremely comfortable working with sales, sales engineering, services, marketing, customers and partner teams. The candidate but must be technology savvy specifically in data integration and business analytics. Knowledge and expertise in business intelligence is desirable and the candidate will be trained on the Pentaho products. Position Responsibilities: Technical Solutions Marketing Manager Work with product, partner and demand generation marketing teams to develop product and solution demonstrations and content to aggressively market Pentaho’s value and capabilities
  • Promote created content across our websites and other outbound sites to showcase Pentaho solutions to our key markets
  • Support product launches, new solution examples, competitive positioning, and demand generation programs with demos that highlight business value from Pentaho
  • Support Pentaho’s marketing efforts to design and execute a mix of demand generation and promotional activities, including:
    • Website strategy and online advertising
    • Trade show and conferences
    • Customer / prospect visits
    • Online and offline seminar development
Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related sales engineering and/or technical marketing/solution marketing experience, with a track record of developing impactful demos for external use
  • Expertise and proven track record in successfully developing or marketing business analytics solutions a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or related field; MBA is a plus
  • Strong strategic thinking, creative problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to act very tactically
  • Must love to create great content for external use
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, meet business objectives and influence co-workers while fostering strong working relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation skills
  • Objectivity and openness to others' views to continually build a positive team spirit
