Astro-Med, Inc’s Grass Technologies subsidiary, a leader in neurophysiological instrumentation and software, has an opening for a full-time Technical Support engineer.
The Technical Support engineer will be responsible for training customers to use equipment, providing customer support by telephone, and traveling throughout the United States to provide installation service for Grass medical products.
The Technical Support engineer will be responsible for all field installations and customer inservice, post-installation support and in-house training sessions, as well as coordination of warranty and non-warranty services.Â Technical Support Engineers will assist users in the daily operation of our equipment via telephone and/or remote access consultation.
The Technical Support Engineer will be called on to visit customer sites for the installation, in-service, and repair of the company’s supplied equipment (no more than 60% travel).
Two years of experience in Customer Service
A working knowledge of WindowsÂ® 2000/XP, including MicrosoftÂ® Office, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
Basic knowledge of computer networking
Superior communication skills, analytical ability, and an outgoing personality
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or Health Sciences
