Support product development/new product introduction for advanced semiconductor inspection tools/systems. Handle problems reported by remote engineers, developing plans to resolve issues, working with Development engineering teams. Provide on-site support of system problems. Provide sustaining technical support of the future install base. Provide technical support to field engineers and installation team engineers in diagnosing, troubleshooting and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems and/or software. Respond to situations where first-line service support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or systems. Review specifications and create automated test programs and tools. Identify and analyze product flaws and contribute feedback regarding design issues and product specification. Participate in system installations and training. Provide support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. Provide quality feedback and reporting and periodically review service documentation. Work with the New Product Introduction group and the Engineering group on field reliability projects. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and abroad.
Employer requires Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or 3 years of work experience in technical support, manufacturing, electrical/electronics, or quality assurance/test engineering-related occupation directly dealing with semiconductor systems/equipment. Alternatively, employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in technical support, manufacturing, electrical/electronics, or quality assurance/test engineering-related occupation directly dealing with semiconductor systems/equipment. Experience must include: 1) Designing, developing, testing/QA, and/or implementing software applications and/or systems; 2) Database administration; 3) Network administration; 4) UNIX; 5) LINUX; 6) all office suite applications such as Excel, PowerPoint; 7) Diagnosing problems through analysis of Inspection Reports, Inspections system log files, parametric system diagnostic results, and use of electronic, pneumatic, optical and mechanical test equipment; 8) CRM; 9) Technical presentation skills; 10) Hardware/software integration; 11) Photomask inspection applications knowledge to characterize system performance to company specifications and customer specific test requirements. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and abroad.
