The Technical Trainer is a part of a mobile training team at AGI that provides classroom instruction to all sectors of the aerospace and defense community. The goal of the training team is to make our users more productive and efficient with our software technologies. As a member of the Training team, the Technical Trainer ensures that AGI customers learn to get the most from AGI products.
As a Technical Trainer, you will master AGI's many products, including: Systems Tool Kit (STK), Orbit Determination Tool Kit, and various development tools. Applying your product knowledge, you will assist AGI customers in applying our software to their specific customer situations, through technical training sessions. Classes are 10-12 in size, which allows for great customer interaction and problem solving. You will support instruction at any of our five training facilities in the US or at our many customer locations. This position does require travel domestically and internationally 25-50%. Although based out of our headquarters in Exton, PA frequent support of the Greenbelt, Maryland office will be required.
Additional responsibilities will include being a part of the training material development cycle by working to write the technical outlines for all new AGI products. This position includes additional engineering consulting support of customers outside of the classroom.
Key responsibilities include:
- Be capable of expertly teaching all of AGI’s training courses most notably:
- STK Comprehensive
- Other specialized training courses such as ODTK or Development courses
- Teach at AGI and customer facilities
- Compose technical content for new training materials
- Provide engineering support to customers as needed
Bachelor’s degree (BS Aerospace or Astrospace Engineering preferred)
Familiarity with AGI products, most notably STK
Strong verbal and written communications skills are required
Excellent teaching skills and technical training experience
Entry level or above .net, C# or VB and or JAVA experience (desired)
Security Clearances are desirable; if none, must be able to attain them
US Passport or ability to attain one is required
25-50% travel (domestic and international)
