The Technical Writer / Document Manager will work directly with the Directorate of Standardization and Evaluation, other team members, subject matter experts to facilitate and manage document control environment activities, and policy and procedures. This includes but is not limited to, developing / completing technical writing, editing and proofing of publications. Specifically, developing, completing, and revising manuals for OAM agency specific tasks.
This position requires excellent communication skills, verbal and written as well as interpersonal skills to interact with client, internal management, and subject matter experts.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and other document editing software are desirable.
Ability to work independently, and/or with other administrative and support staff, manage multiple projects simultaneously, gather information, analyze subject material and audiences while producing clear documentation, and prioritizing daily tasks in order to effectively manage production time.
Highly motivated individual able to grasp complex technologies, tools or knowledge and learn quickly.
The aptitude of thinking creatively, developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
Very organized, planning, and detail oriented.
Capacity to complete special assignments as required.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Education, Communication, Technical Writing, or other related fields required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal and presentation) to include experience in client relations. Must demonstrate a professional attitude and appearance. Active listening skills.
Minimum of 2 years Technical Writing / Document Management experience (preferably within government agencies).
Highly self-motivated, assertive, self-starter and flexible with a willingness and desire to learn.
Strong organizational and planning skills required. Project Management experience helpful.
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security clearance.
Ability to work well within a team and as an individual contributor
